'Google@' is a series of collaboration events undertaken by Google with complimentary and like-minded partner businesses like Mindshare Media UK which took place at the BAFTA HQ in London, or the Northern Agency Roadshow, which was staged at The Point, Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester.
There are about 6 - 8 similar events planned over the coming 12 months, at which Google discuss their latest products and services with the partner company who can evaluate how these can be applied and integrated into their operations.
DesignScene takes care of all the production design within the chosen venues, including installation of the necessary AV and technical elements, dovetailing into 'house' systems where possible, plus the video presentation design and ensuring that the space works.
The key is to have a basic set design that is flexible, dynamic and transportable to all the events, complete with a collection of multi-functional Google 'assets'.
These are used to give each event an individual look and feel but an overall identity and harmony with the entire series.
The assets comprise computer pods, signage slab, lecterns, registration desks, plinth tables, etc. All are highly adaptable and individually branded to suit the specific Google@ event. They have a slick, contemporary look with the interchangeable fascias fabricated from 3mm Dibond panelling which is printable and therefore easily customisable. They have certain common features like integral RGB LED edge lighting to give a simple and strong visual finish.
DesignScene created the Google Goggles (app) Gallery which is integral to each of the current @ events, proving a popular and informative display communication.
The brief also includes co-ordination of all the registration and name badge processes.
