Huawei Christmas Concert at Royal Festival Hall, London
Sponsorship Event
Client: Nastrovia Management

DesignScene's first event for leading telecomms player Huawei was at the Royal Festival Hall in London, where they were the principal sponsor of the 2010 London Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Christmas Classics', a high profile fundraiser for The Princes trust charity.
DesignScene was involved in two elements of the evening. The first was adding visual finishing touches to the concert in the main auditorium, and the second was in creating a reception area on the 5th floor where Huawei entertained their VIP guests.
Onstage in the Royal Festival Hall, working to a 'Winter Wonderland' theme, DesignScene produced 75 scenic snowflakes of various sizes which were flown on steel wires at different heights and depths.
Two intelligent lights projected Huawei and Princess Trust branding either side of the stage header, and the second half of the performance included a set by classical vocal quartet BLAKE, for which DesignScene added special pyrotechnic effects.
Up on level 5 of the Royal Festival Hall, the DesignScene team took over one of the event spaces and created a pre and after show 'Winter Wonderland' reception environment for Huawei's guests for the evening, adding plenty of Christmas magic and sparkle.
One of the most striking elements - with no overt branding allowed - was the creation of the Huawei logo shaped entrance doorway, which was cut out of a false wall and edge lit in red, one of their corporate colours. This set the mood for the evening.
