Marks & Spencer International Conference, London
B2B Event

The task was to create an easily re-buildable room set and lighting scheme that enabled two rooms of Marks & Spencer's former distribution depot in White City London - now used a training and meeting centre - to be used as a practical and pleasant conference space for the presentation of a series of International Conferences.
Crucial to the timeframe was that everything had to be set up, dressed and lit quickly and easily in a day and a half, a challenge, but no problem for the DesignScene team, who produced a slick solution to make dramatic changes in the short timescale.
A semi circular double stepped stage and catwalk with integrated backdrop was installed, all in white vinyl, with a touch screen interactive display taking centre stage.
Behind the back-of-stage wall, the wall of the actual room was draped in grey and both the stage wall and the room wall were up-lit with energy efficient LED lighting fixtures. This gave a double layer of depth and dimension, visually increasing the perception of space.
A clear acrylic lectern was supplied for speakers/presenters, together with large projection screens either side of stage, framed with mirror surrounds for additional neatness and a fully finished appearance.
Facing the stage, three rows of curved seating with bespoke curved desks made sure everyone had a good view.
