Women's Aid ACT Gala Dinner at Claridges, London
Charity Gala Dinner
DesignScene designed an environment for this high profile event hosted by Gordon & Tana Ramsay, with a major celebrity attendance to raise money for UK domestic violence charity, Women's Aid.
It took place at the famous London hotel Claridges, with the main dinner and entertainment - headlined by UK indie rockers The Feeling - staged in the Ballroom, and a reception and pre-show area in the adjacent Rotunda.
DesignScene provided of all the technical production - lighting, sound and AV elements - in both areas, and co-ordinated the table design and layout, furniture and decor to create a lively and coherent visual environment in which guests could relax and enjoy the evening.
The brief included the use of pinks and purples - the charity's colours - and was otherwise left to the imagination and expertise of the DesignScene team.
Inspired by the Art Deco features and architecture of the hotel, an Art Deco set was built, and furniture supplied based on black and mirrored finishes - from DesignScene's own furniture stock.
The stage backdrop was constructed from black faux-suede with mirrored fascias, framed with a silver and Perspex edging, making a glamorous focal point.
DesignScene's Attila Keskin specified the latest moving light technology to provide stage lighting for the band, presentations and speeches, and the rest of the room was also theatrically lit.
